Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel is once again facing backlash from fans after failing to appear on stage at a scheduled concert, leaving attendees frustrated and disappointed.
Tension reportedly filled the venue as the crowd, who had waited eagerly for hours, realised the singer would not perform. Some angry fans confronted members of his security team, while others voiced their disappointment online.
“This is not the first time,” one user wrote. “He’s done it too many times — people are tired.”
Social media erupted with criticism, with several users recalling previous no-shows, including his infamous 2022 incident in Tanzania, which nearly resulted in his arrest, and an earlier 2018 university performance where he also failed to take the stage.
“He did the same thing at Babcock in 2018 — Teni had to perform instead,” one post read.
Critics have urged concert organisers to reconsider future bookings with the artist, questioning his professionalism.
“You collect money and don’t show up. That’s not fair to fans,” another fan lamented.
The latest controversy has reignited debates about artist discipline and respect for fans in Nigeria’s live music scene. For many loyal supporters, it’s another disappointment from one of Afrobeats’ most talented but unpredictable stars.
