Rapper 50 Cent has reignited his long-running feud with Sean “Diddy” Combs, just a day before the embattled music mogul is expected to learn whether he will remain behind bars or regain his freedom.
On Thursday, 50 Cent posted a satirical yet scathing open letter on Instagram addressed to Judge Arun Subramanian, who is presiding over Diddy’s federal case.
“I have had an ongoing dispute with Puffy for over 20 years. He is very dangerous. Multiple times I have feared for my life,” 50 Cent wrote. “I think you should consider the safety of the general public, your honor, before unleashing him upon them.”
The rapper went further, mocking prosecutors’ sentencing recommendation of more than 11 years in prison, while ridiculing Diddy’s alleged attempts at rehabilitation behind bars, including teaching a so-called business class titled Free Game with Diddy.
In his signature parody style, 50 Cent veered into humor, warning that Diddy’s release could lead to “hiring more male sex workers and keeping most of the baby oil away from the general public.” He concluded: “And babies need it!” The post also doubled as a plug for his upcoming Netflix documentary on the scandal.
Beyond the jokes, 50 Cent’s message referenced serious issues, including past federal raids on Diddy’s homes and civil allegations against his son, Christian Combs.
Diddy has been in custody for over a year. Prosecutors are pushing for a lengthy sentence exceeding a decade, while his defence team is lobbying for 14 months with credit for time served. A ruling is expected soon.
