Gaius Chibueze, a Nigerian man who previously mocked the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has broken his silence following the death of his father.

Chibueze announced his father’s demise just days after taunting the late president, who died on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Expressing deep frustration, he blamed Nigeria’s inadequate healthcare system for his loss.

According to him, plans were underway to fly his father to Turkey for a medical procedure when he passed away.

“Buhari was a useless president. If good hospitals existed in Nigeria, my father might still be alive. I was only waiting to take him to Turkey to replace the batteries in his chest,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He further cursed politicians who neglect their responsibilities, adding:
“God punish any Nigerian politician who refuses to do their job. If Buhari had built hospitals in Nigeria, my father would still be alive.”
