New Music from Adele May Be Delayed for a While

Adele has revealed she has no plans for new music at the moment. Speaking with German broadcaster ZDF, the British singer said, ‘I don’t have any plans for new music, at all. I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while.’

Adele’s last album, ‘30,’ released in 2021, earned six Grammy nominations and won British Album Of The Year at the 2022 Brit Awards. ‘25‘ and ‘30‘ became the best-selling albums worldwide, including the US and the UK, in 2015 and 2021, respectively. As of 2023, all of her studio albums, except ‘19‘, have topped the yearly best-selling albums chart worldwide in the 21st century.

Despite performing numerous gigs, including two major shows at London’s Hyde Park in 2022, she emphasized that writing new songs is not currently a priority. This aligns with her earlier statement to fans during a show this year: ‘I just don’t think I’m gonna write an album for quite some time.’
