The Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN) has dismissed claims that it banned songs by Burna Boy following his reported altercation with DJ Tunez.
In a statement released on Thursday, the association described the reports as false and misleading. Its National President, Prince Akim Edeh, clarified that no directive was issued restricting the artist’s music.
He noted that while the body condemns any form of violence or confrontation within the entertainment industry, it has not taken any punitive action against Burna Boy. According to him, the association is closely observing ongoing developments surrounding the incident.
DJAN also pointed out that DJ Tunez is not a registered member of the association, urging the public to remain calm as relevant authorities continue their investigation.
Reaffirming its position, the group stressed that it has no plans to ban Burna Boy’s music or that of any other artist, maintaining its commitment to promoting unity and professionalism within the industry.
