Songs by Burna Boy have been temporarily removed from DJs’ playlists across Nigeria following an alleged altercation with DJ Tunez.

The decision was announced by the Nigerian DJ Association, which said the move would remain in place pending the outcome of an investigation into the incident.

According to the association, reports and circulating videos suggest there was a confrontation between Burna Boy and DJ Tunez at a private event in Lagos. Some claims alleged that the DJ was trampled during the incident, although this has not been independently confirmed.

In its statement, the NDJ stressed the importance of professionalism, respect, and equality within the entertainment space, urging DJs nationwide to maintain high standards in their engagements.

The association also reiterated its stance on unity within the DJ community, noting that discrimination, disrespect, or mistreatment of DJs would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Describing the action as temporary, the NDJ said Burna Boy’s music would remain off playlists “until further notice” while a thorough review of the situation is carried out.

As of now, there has been no official response from Burna Boy’s camp, and no timeline has been given for when the investigation will be concluded.
