Alexander Isak has resumed full training with Liverpool FC after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, boosting hopes of his return ahead of key fixtures.

The 26-year-old striker has been out of action since December after suffering a fractured fibula alongside an ankle injury.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Isak is now back in team sessions and could be named in the squad for upcoming matches, including this weekend’s clash.

He has been easing his way back to fitness in recent weeks, with his return to full training under manager Arne Slot marking a major step in his recovery.

While he may be included for the FA Cup tie against Manchester City, the coaching crew are expected to handle his return carefully, with a likely place on the bench.

Isak is also in line to feature in the UEFA Champions League encounter against Paris Saint-Germain, where he could be gradually reintroduced as he works towards full match fitness.
