Moses Simon reached a major milestone after scoring in Nigeria’s 2-2 draw with Jordan in an international friendly played in Antalya.
The winger scored Nigeria’s opening goal in the match and, with that strike, moved level with Nwankwo Kanu on the country’s all-time goals chart.
Jordan had taken the lead in the 17th minute through Mousa Tamari, but Nigeria responded quickly when Simon finished calmly after a loose ball fell kindly to him inside the box. The goal once again highlighted his importance to the Super Eagles, as he continues to deliver in key matches.
Nigeria later took the lead before halftime, but Jordan equalised in the second half to make it 2-2. The Super Eagles pushed for a winner but were unable to find the breakthrough, ending the game in a draw despite strong attacking efforts. ⚽
