Etinosa Idemudia has criticised what she described as discriminatory treatment of women who visit clubs, bars and hotels without male companions.
In a recent Instagram post, the actress shared her personal experiences, explaining that she had been denied entry into some entertainment venues simply because she arrived alone, despite being willing to pay like other customers.
According to her, women are often restricted from entering such places without a male companion, while men do not face the same rules. She described the situation as a clear double standard and questioned why women are subjected to scrutiny for simply wanting to enjoy social spaces.
Etinosa also said a woman visiting a venue alone should not automatically be judged or labelled, stressing that many women simply want to relax, listen to music, and enjoy themselves like everyone else.
She added that some of the experiences happened during a difficult period in her marriage, noting that she often went out alone just to clear her mind and avoid stress. The actress called on feminists and women to speak up against the bias and push for change.
