Tottenham Hotspur have dismissed head coach Igor Tudor after just seven matches in charge, ending his short interim tenure following a poor run of results.
The decision came after Spurs suffered a 3–0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest, a result that left the club just above the relegation zone in the Premier League.
The North London side are currently sitting in 17th position on the table, with only one point separating them from the bottom three, increasing pressure on the club to make immediate changes.
Tudor was appointed in February as an interim replacement for Thomas Frank, but managed only one point from five league matches during his short spell in charge. He also oversaw the team’s exit from the UEFA Champions League in the round of 16.
Club officials reportedly decided to act quickly in order to stabilise results before the final stage of the season, as Tottenham look to avoid relegation. ⚽
