Popular gospel singer and Nollywood soundtrack artiste Onos Nancy Brisibi has passed away at the age of 55.
Her family confirmed her death in a statement released on Thursday, revealing that she died on March 23, 2026, after a prolonged illness. According to the family, she will be remembered as a devoted Christian who used her music to inspire and uplift many people.
The statement described her as a kind-hearted and fun-loving woman whose faith, warmth, and compassion left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She was also recognised as a passionate praise leader whose voice touched many lives both within and outside the gospel music community.
Tributes have continued to pour in from the entertainment industry. Actress Stella Damasus described the loss as painful, while veteran broadcaster Emma Ugolee called it devastating news.
Born on November 20, 1970, in Delta State, Onos began her music career at a young age and later became one of Nollywood’s most recognised soundtrack artistes, leaving behind a legacy in gospel music and film soundtracks. 🕊️🎶
