Nigerian media personality Usman Asahafe has publicly criticized influencer Tacha over her recent statement on religious hypocrisy.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Usman accused Tacha of indirectly targeting a specific group while attempting to appear neutral by including multiple religions in her remarks.
According to him, her reference to both Christianity and Islam was a strategy to mask what he believes was a subtle jab aimed at certain individuals and the Muslim community. He mentioned names like Asake and Papaya Ex in his reaction.
“You don’t need to include church and Sunday in your jabs, we know where you’re going… your intention was to throw jabs at Asake, Papaya Ex and Islam,” he wrote.
Usman further criticized Tacha for what he described as inconsistency, pointing out that she had not expressed similar views during Christian religious activities such as praise challenges and extended vigil programmes.
He went on to use strong language, calling her out for not being direct with her opinions and accusing her of hiding behind general statements to criticize Islam.
The exchange has since sparked conversations online, with social media users divided over Tacha’s original comment and Usman’s reaction, highlighting ongoing debates around religion, expression, and perceived bias in public discourse.
