Broda Shaggi Hospitalised After Alleged Gunshot Injury

Popular Nigerian comedian and skit creator Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggi, has reportedly been hospitalised after allegedly sustaining a gunshot injury in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon under the Sango-Ota bridge while the entertainer was filming a comedy skit with members of his production team.

According to a police source, the comedian was injured during the filming process, although the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. He was immediately rushed to Blooming Care Hospital, where he received initial medical attention.

He was later transferred to Duchess International Hospital located in the Government Residential Area of Ikeja, where he is currently said to be recovering.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that the hospital alerted authorities after a gunshot victim was brought in. Officers who responded reportedly found the comedian on a stretcher with an injury to his thigh.

Police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi stated that although the incident occurred in Sango-Ota—outside the Lagos command’s jurisdiction—investigations are ongoing.

Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command said the case has not yet been formally reported within the state.
