Socialite Rahman Jago has stated that Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Burna Boy has converted to Islam, adding a new layer to ongoing public speculation about the singer’s religious beliefs.

Burna Boy, who was raised in a Christian background, previously mentioned during a podcast interview that he embraced Islam “at some point” in his personal search for truth. His comment sparked widespread discussion, though he did not make a formal public declaration about his faith.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Rahman Jago shared a video showing Burna Boy praising Allah alongside friends. He captioned the clip:

“Allahu Akbar.”

When a fan asked whether the artist had truly converted, Jago replied directly:

“He converted. He is now a Muslim.”

The video was reposted by Bashir Ahmad, a former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, who commented that the singer appeared happy and prayed for ease in his spiritual journey.

Despite the confirmation from associates, Burna Boy himself has not issued an official statement clearly defining his current religious identity.
