Afrobeats stars Tems and Burna Boy have made history as the African artists with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100, overtaking South African band Seether.
The milestone follows their latest appearances on J. Cole’s album The Fall-Off.
These entries bring both artists to eight Billboard Hot 100 appearances each, the highest total for any African act.
Tems now holds three Hot 100 entries in 2026, the most by any African artist this year. She had earlier become the first African female artist to reach seven entries, a record she initially shared with Burna Boy and Seether before surpassing them.
Burna Boy also extended his record as the first African artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years (2021–2026).
