Apostle Harrison Anyintete has reacted to singer Skales’ recent testimony about the resurgence of his song Shake Body, which gained renewed attention after Barcelona star Lamine Yamal shared a dance video to the track.

Skales, while speaking at Harvesters, had narrated how his long-standing prayer points were answered within a day following the viral moment, describing it as a divine intervention.

However, Anyintete, in a detailed response shared online, clarified that his comments were not a personal attack on the artist. Instead, he said his concern was with the church’s decision to publicly present the testimony.

According to the cleric, the testimony, as projected, did not promote spiritual growth, devotion, or maturity among believers. He argued that it failed to inspire godly values and could send the wrong signal to young people watching from the congregation.

He further stated that celebrating success tied to music he believes promotes immorality may encourage others to pursue ungodly paths while still expecting divine rewards. In his view, such narratives set a poor example within the Christian community.

Anyintete stressed that Skales has every right to enjoy the success of his work, especially on personal platforms. However, he maintained that churches should be more discerning about the kind of testimonies they highlight, warning that blending ungodly lifestyles with faith could negatively influence younger believers.

The apostle concluded by expressing goodwill toward the singer while urging churches to be more intentional about the testimonies they present to their congregations.
