Tems Reveals She Would Have Become a Maths Teacher If She Didn’t Choose Music

Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, widely known as Tems, has revealed that her life might have taken a completely different turn if music hadn’t worked out.

During a Q&A session with fans on X, the Grammy-winning artist was asked what career she would have pursued outside entertainment. In her response, Tems said she would likely have become a mathematics teacher  or possibly an accountant.

Her answer sparked excitement among fans, many of whom said they were surprised to learn she once considered a path in academics. The revelation also highlighted her strong interest in numbers and analytical work before music became her full-time passion.
