Rap superstar Nicki Minaj may lose her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion in Los Angeles following a court-ordered judgment linked to her husband Kenneth Petty’s 2019 assault case.
According to recently filed court documents, a German court directed Minaj and Petty to pay $503,318 to their former security chief, Thomas Weidenmüller, who accused Petty of attacking him backstage during the Nicki WRLD Tour in 2019. The assault reportedly left Weidenmüller with a broken jaw and multiple surgeries.
Legal filings obtained by The Real Deal revealed that Weidenmüller’s lawyers are seeking a forced sale of Minaj’s mansion to recover the unpaid judgment.
“The dwelling is subject to a $13,258,000 mortgage lien and a $722,151 homestead exemption… yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption. That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment,” the court papers stated.
The security official’s legal team claims the couple has ignored multiple payment demands, prompting them to request that the court authorize the sale of the property.
Neither Minaj nor Petty has publicly commented on the matter, which adds to a string of legal controversies surrounding the couple this year.
