“I Wasn’t Expecting to Win BBNaija” – Imisi Opens Up After Victory

Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has revealed that her triumph in the recently concluded reality TV show came as a complete surprise to her.

In a post-show interview with Arise TV, the 23-year-old reality star admitted she didn’t anticipate being crowned the winner and wasn’t even dressed for the big moment.

“Winning the reality show was shocking to me. Sincerely, I was not expecting to win,” she said. “Before I got on stage, I was tensed just hearing the crowd chant my name. I was shocked when I was announced the winner.”

Imisi humorously added that she wore crocs instead of heels for the finale because she prioritized comfort over appearance. “I wore crocs to the stage because I’m not comfortable in heels. I didn’t even plan for the live show,” she added.

Imisi also revealed that she was overwhelmed by anxiety moments before the winner was announced, describing the atmosphere backstage as “almost unbearable.” She, however, credited her supporters for her victory, noting that her journey was proof that “grace truly speaks louder than effort.”

Imisi beat her closest rival, Dede, to emerge as the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10 on Sunday night. She officially received her ₦150 million grand prize on Tuesday, which included ₦80 million in cash and a brand-new Innoson SUV.
