Controversial online personality Radiogad has reacted to May Edochie’s recent revelation about how she met her estranged husband, Yul Edochie, at a General Certificate Examination (GCE) center years ago.
May, in a recent interview, opened up about her early life and how her relationship with the Nollywood actor began long before fame and fortune. Her disclosure quickly drew responses online, with Radiogad leading the latest round of commentary.
In a viral video making the rounds on social media, Radiogad mocked Yul Edochie’s career trajectory, claiming that meeting his wife at a GCE center was symbolic of why his career has “stalled” over the years.
According to the commentator, Yul’s acting career has struggled to evolve despite his long presence in the Nigerian movie industry.
“May met Yul Edochie at a GCE center. No wonder Yul Edochie’s career is still at GCE level,” Radiogad said. “Imagine, Yul has been acting for years but there’s no progress because of the love of to…to.”
He went on to allege that Yul still features in low-budget movies shot in Anambra and Enugu, with some paying as little as ₦50,000 per role.
Radiogad contrasted Yul’s alleged stagnation with May Edochie’s recent progress, noting that she has evolved into a cinema-level actress and brand influencer.
“Our Queen May don go far for movies. Queen May don even dey do cinema movies,” he said, praising her growth and resilience since separating from Yul.
He further added that May has “elevated her brand beyond Yul’s reach”, positioning herself among high-profile personalities and film projects.
As expected, Radiogad’s comments stirred mixed reactions online.
While some fans agreed with his take and celebrated May’s personal growth, others criticized him for mocking Yul, arguing that career progress should not be measured by wealth or popularity alone.
Neither Yul Edochie nor May Edochie has publicly responded to Radiogad’s remarks as of press time.
