Drama as Yomi Fabiyi Claims BBNaija Winner Imisi Was His Student, Hails Her Character

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yomi Fabiyi has stirred social media buzz after revealing that Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, once trained under him.

Imisi emerged victorious in the just-concluded reality show on Sunday, October 5, beating fellow finalists Dede, Koyin, Sultana, Kola, Jason Jae, Mensan, Kaybobi, and Isabella to clinch the grand prize.

Sharing a video from his birthday and housewarming party on Instagram, Fabiyi disclosed that Imisi had been one of his students at his Rocklaf Studio Film Academy, where he mentors upcoming actors.

“She’s always genuinely happy for others,” Fabiyi wrote. “She celebrated me with so much joy during my birthday and housewarming, and now I’m celebrating her in return. Congratulations once again, my girl — we won! Rocklaf to the world!”

He accompanied his post with a celebratory message to Imisi and tagged fellow celebrities KS1 Malaika and Enitan Odugbemi.

In another post, the filmmaker expressed deep gratitude to everyone who supported Imisi throughout the competition, noting how emotional he felt witnessing her triumph.

“The winner, the champion — my girl @imisiofficial. I’m overwhelmed. The sound of joy and congratulations will never cease in your homes. It’s your time to shine, Imisi. Rocklaf! We rise together!” he added.

However, the actor’s revelation sparked mixed reactions online, as some fans found it amusing that multiple people are now claiming mentorship ties to the new BBNaija star.

Another, @thetoluadepoju, added humorously:
