Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records founder, Don Jazzy, has sparked conversation online after revealing that he doesn’t see himself as someone who can be in a monogamous relationship.
Speaking in a recent interview with media personality Nancy Isime, Don Jazzy admitted that he struggles with the idea of committing to just one woman. He explained that while he respects those who can maintain one-on-one romantic relationships, he doesn’t believe he is “strong enough” to do the same.
“I don’t think I’m built for one person,” he said. “I admire people who can love one person completely and stay committed. But me, even when I’m in a relationship, that doesn’t stop me from admiring someone else.”
He added that some people lose attraction to others when they fall in love, but that isn’t the case for him. “I respect those who can switch off those feelings. I’m not like that,” he confessed.
The interview clip quickly made rounds online, drawing a range of reactions from fans:
@therealmacrock: “See Nancy’s face when he said it. Her ticket don cut.”
@cooldjgaba: “No be the same thing 2Baba talk?”
@greatnwanneo: “He’ll soon become Solomon—300 wives, 700 concubines!”
@odogwuutd: “2Baba was dragged for saying this same thing. Why is Don Jazzy getting away with it?”
