Following two separate arrests by Nigerian authorities, social media influencer Bobrisky has opened up about his decision to leave the country. In a post shared on Instagram on November 4, 2024, Bobrisky explained that although his departure is temporary, it was essential for his mental and physical health.

He wrote, “Yes, I’m here to confirm that I’m out of Nigeria temporarily… I need to focus on my sanity and health. Some Nigerian security agencies tried everything to frustrate me, but I trust in God.” Bobrisky also shared his frustrations with his travel experience, revealing that he had purchased three business class tickets before successfully flying out on November 3, 2024. “Each business class ticket cost me 9.8 million naira, and only one flight went through. I hope you’ll refund me for the two unused tickets. I know it’s not your fault, but it’s fine,” he added.

He continued, “Before anyone comes on my page to criticize, check your bank account and ask yourself if you could afford to buy three business class tickets, let alone buy them three times. Anyway, I’m not in Nigeria, so your comments don’t bother me. Cheers.”

Bobrisky has faced significant legal and personal challenges in recent months. On November 1, 2024, he was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) just before boarding a flight to London. Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, confirmed the incident by posting pictures with Bobrisky prior to takeoff. The week before, Bobrisky was also arrested at the Seme border while attempting to leave Nigeria for the Benin Republic, with images of him in the back of a patrol vehicle circulating online.
