American rapper Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, has been charged with sex trafficking and racketeering following his arrest on Monday. During his court appearance, the prosecutors accused the rapper of operating a criminal enterprise since at least 2008.

A 14-page indictment accuses him of racketeering, kidnapping, sex trafficking by force, and transporting individuals for prostitution. Combs is currently being held in solitary confinement at the Special Housing Unit in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, ahead of his next court appearance later today.

Diddy’s legal team submitted a $50 million bail offer, but the court denied it, citing him as a flight risk. If convicted on all charges, the rapper and record producer could face a prison sentence ranging from 15 years to life.
