Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and his son Bronny James etched their names into basketball history after combining for a remarkable father-son play during their team’s 119–103 win over the Golden State Warriors.
The historic moment unfolded when Bronny, 19, made a key defensive stop, stealing possession before quickly setting up his father on a fast break. LeBron finished the move with an easy dunk, marking what is widely considered the first-ever son-to-father assist in National Basketball Association history.
LeBron delivered another standout performance, recording 26 points and 11 assists, while Bronny contributed 10 points and three assists, continuing to grow into his role within the Lakers’ lineup.
This milestone adds to an already historic season for the duo, who had earlier recorded the league’s first father-to-son assist against the Brooklyn Nets.
The victory boosts the Los Angeles Lakers in the tightly contested Western Conference playoff race, while the Warriors continue their push for a favourable seeding.
In other results, the New York Knicks defeated the Boston Celtics 112–106, the Toronto Raptors beat the Miami Heat 128–114, the Houston Rockets saw off the Philadelphia 76ers 113–102, the Chicago Bulls overcame the Washington Wizards 119–108, and the Indiana Pacers cruised past the Nets 123–94.
Meanwhile, the Women’s National Basketball Association continues its expansion plans, with new franchises approved in Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia, reflecting growing momentum in women’s professional basketball.
