‘I won’t date actors’ — Teniola Aladese shares dating preference

Nollywood actress Teniola Aladese has opened up about her love life, revealing she has no interest in dating fellow actors.

Speaking on the I Said What I Said podcast, the actress said her preference leans more toward producers and directors within the film industry, rather than actors.

Aladese also disclosed that her social media inbox is often filled with messages from admirers, noting that attention from men is constant.

She described the dating scene in Lagos as stressful and somewhat chaotic, although she added that her personal experiences have not been particularly negative. According to her, she usually makes up her mind about a potential partner early, often after just one outing.

“I don’t want to date an actor. I wouldn’t mind producers or directors, but actors are a no for me,” she said.

Before stepping fully into acting, Aladese worked behind the scenes as a production manager. She gained wider recognition for her role in the TV series Jemeji and later received the Trailblazer Award at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards in 2022.
