Maduka Okoye Ruled Out of Nigeria vs Jordan Friendly Match Due to Injury

Maduka Okoye has been ruled out of Nigeria’s international friendly against Jordan after picking up an injury in training.

According to the Super Eagles’ media officer, the Udinese goalkeeper suffered a thigh knock during a training session and will return to Italy for further assessment and treatment with his club.

With the 25-year-old unavailable for the match, the coaching crew will now decide between Francis Uzoho and Adebayo Adeleye to take his place in goal.

Nigeria is scheduled to face Jordan in the friendly just a few days after securing a 2–1 victory over Iran at the same venue. The injury is expected to be assessed further once Okoye returns to his club’s medical team.
