Nigerian music producer and singer Samklef has reacted after singer Crayon publicly criticised his former label boss Don Jazzy and his record label, Mavin Records.

Crayon, who joined the label in 2019, reportedly shared a series of posts on social media — which were later deleted — accusing the music executive of owing him unpaid royalties.

In the posts, the singer also alleged that large sums of money had been collected without him receiving his share. He further claimed that delayed payments were being used against him and vowed to expose the label.

Reacting to the controversy, Samklef suggested that things had changed for Don Jazzy following his recent association with social media activist VeryDarkMan.

In a post circulating online, Samklef questioned whether the situation could be karma and made remarks about the state of the label and its artists.

He also referenced Ayra Starr, claiming she appeared stressed in her recent music video.

“I tell una say Jazzy go cast soon! Dem don see Don Jazzy finish, Crayon even call am his boy. Ever since Don Jazzy met a very dark man, all the signed artists no gree blow. Ayra Starr look stressed in her last video. Something is not right. Could this be karma?” he wrote.

The comments have sparked reactions on social media, with fans debating the claims and discussing the ongoing tensions involving artists formerly associated with Mavin Records.
