Tacha Akide Celebrates Guinness World Record Achievement, Honours Late Mother

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha Akide has shared photos of her Guinness World Records plaques after setting new records for the highest number of cosmetic makeovers completed within limited time frames.

Tacha achieved 82 makeovers in eight hours and 143 makeovers in 24 hours, surpassing the previous record of 64 makeovers in eight hours. The reality star and entrepreneur proudly showcased the plaques on social media while celebrating the milestone.

In an emotional post, Tacha described the achievement as the result of ten years of dedication, growth, and persistence in her craft.

“82 makeovers in 8 hours. 143 makeovers in 24 hours. This wasn’t just about speed… it was about impact, dedication, and a decade of showing up for my craft. Ten years of building. Ten years of believing. Ten years of becoming,” she wrote.

The accomplishment holds special meaning for the media personality, who dedicated the achievement to her late mother, Stella, who passed away 12 years ago.

According to Tacha, her mother played a major role in shaping her skills and passion for makeup, which later developed into a successful career. She expressed deep emotion while reflecting on how much she wished her mother was alive to witness the milestone.

Tacha also thanked supporters, including the Lagos State government initiative ConnectWithLagos, for their support throughout the journey.

Now recognised as one of the fastest makeup artists in the world, Tacha described the moment as a powerful reminder of how passion and perseverance can transform dreams into global recognition. 💄🏆
