Reports claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo has fled Saudi Arabia with his family have been dismissed as false by respected football journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Speculation had circulated across international media platforms suggesting that the 41-year-old forward had departed Riyadh amid regional tensions. Some outlets, including the Daily Mail, alleged that the Al-Nassr star travelled aboard his luxury private jet back to Madrid.

However, Romano refuted the claims in a social media post, describing the reports as fake news. According to him, Ronaldo remains in Saudi Arabia and is currently undergoing treatment at Al-Nassr FC’s training ground following issues from the team’s most recent match.

Romano emphasized that the Portuguese captain has not left the country and has not returned to Spain, contrary to widespread rumours.

The earlier speculation also linked Ronaldo’s supposed departure to heightened security concerns in parts of the Middle East. However, there has been no official confirmation supporting those claims.

For now, the veteran forward remains with Al-Nassr as he focuses on recovery and preparations for upcoming fixtures.
