Peller Explains Why He Gifted Girlfriend an AMG and Bought His Mother a Different Car

Content creator Peller has responded to online criticism over his decision to gift his girlfriend, Jarvis, a luxury Mercedes-Benz AMG for her birthday while purchasing a different vehicle for his mother.

The gesture sparked debate on social media, with some users questioning why he chose a more expensive car for his partner than for his mother. Addressing the backlash, Peller said public perception often influences how such acts are judged.

He explained that his mother originally requested a Toyota valued at about ₦9 million because of its affordability and low maintenance costs. Instead, he opted to buy her a Hyundai reportedly worth around ₦20 million, noting that even if he had purchased the exact model she asked for, critics might still have found fault.

According to him, gifts to mothers are often seen as a duty or repayment for their care, while extravagant presents for partners are interpreted as a display of wealth and affection. He maintained that the car he gave his girlfriend was simply an expression of love and questioned why the gesture attracted controversy.

Peller added that he deeply values both women in his life and insisted his actions were driven by appreciation and affection rather than public approval.
