Seyi Vibez has officially recorded the biggest streaming year ever by a Nigerian artist, capping off an extraordinary 2025 with a historic milestone.

According to data shared by TurnTable Charts, Nigeria’s leading music chart publication and consumption tracker, the street-pop star amassed over 724 million on-demand streams across all platforms in Nigeria in 2025. This achievement makes him the first artist in the country’s history to cross the 700-million streaming mark in a single year.

The landmark figure places Seyi Vibez at the top of Nigeria’s digital music landscape, ahead of some of Afrobeats’ biggest global names. Wizkid followed in second place with 661 million streams, while Asake ranked third with 613 million. Burna Boy finished fourth with 505 million streams, and Fola rounded out the top five with an impressive 470 million streams, capping a breakthrough year.

A Defining Year

Seyi Vibez’s dominance in 2025 marked a turning point in his career. The year began with a major move as he partnered with global music company EMPIRE, opening a new chapter in his artistic evolution.

On February 20, 2025, he released a surprise EP, Children of Africa, his first project under the new partnership. The project reaffirmed his connection to street culture while delivering commercial success, driven largely by the energetic single “Shaolin.”

As the year progressed, Seyi Vibez broadened his sound, embracing more urban pop influences and increased use of English lyrics — a shift evident on tracks like “Pressure.” This artistic expansion culminated in November with the release of the Fujimoto LP, an extended project that showcased his growing global ambition.

The album featured collaborations with international stars French Montana, Trippie Redd, and NLE Choppa, reflecting his desire to reach new audiences beyond Nigeria.

Streaming Powerhouse

These releases helped Seyi Vibez finish 2025 as the second most-streamed artist on Spotify Nigeria, fourth on Apple Music Nigeria, and the most-streamed artist of all time on Audiomack in the country.

Since breaking into the mainstream in 2022 with “Chance” and the album Billion Dollar Baby, Seyi Vibez has maintained an aggressive release schedule. He has dropped eight solo projects — five albums and three EPs — alongside a collaborative project with his collective, VIBE INC.

That consistency has translated into steady streaming growth over the years:

  • 2021: 65.6M

  • 2022: 76.8M

  • 2023: 532.9M

  • 2024: 642.2M

  • 2025: 724.4M

Looking Ahead

Seyi Vibez has already carried his momentum into 2026 with the release of “My Healer” featuring Omah Lay. With his ability to connect deeply with street audiences while expanding his sonic reach, the record-breaking artist appears well positioned for yet another dominant year.
