Victor Osimhen’s agent, George Gardi the man who handled the forward’s switch from Napoli to Galatasaray says the Nigerian star is settled in Turkey despite renewed interest from top European clubs.
Osimhen spent the 2024/25 season on loan with Galatasaray before completing a permanent move to the Turkish champions this summer. His strong form has since sparked enquiries from clubs such as Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but Gardi insists the striker is not pushing for an exit.
“Victor joined a long-term project, not a one-season plan,” Gardi told Sky Sports Germany. “He’s happy in Istanbul, earning well, adored by millions, and competing in the Champions League. He’s in great shape and performing at a high level. There’s no reason for him to leave.”
Osimhen played a key role in Galatasaray’s domestic double last season and has continued his impressive run, scoring nine goals in 12 appearances so far this campaign — including six in just three Champions League matches.
At the moment, however, the 26-year-old is sidelined with a muscle injury sustained during Nigeria’s play-off defeat to DR Congo in the race for the 2026 World Cup. Galatasaray confirmed after an MRI scan at Acıbadem International Hospital that the striker is being treated for a muscular strain and internal bleeding.
Medical staff noted that such strains typically involve damage to muscles or tendons, often causing bleeding or bruising due to overstretching or overuse.
Osimhen was substituted at half-time during the crucial match, and his absence was widely felt as the Super Eagles struggled to maintain their attacking momentum in the second half.
