Man United Seal Deal for Teenage Colombian Midfielder Cristian Orozco

Manchester United have completed an agreement to sign 17-year-old Colombian midfielder Cristian Orozco from Fortaleza CEIF, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The deal, valued at $1 million, will take effect in the summer of 2026, when Orozco officially turns 18.

Romano confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that all contracts had been cleared by Manchester United’s legal team, with the transfer coordinated by the club’s lead scout Gerardo Guzmán Antonaccio.

“Manchester United have now sealed and signed a deal to bring in 17-year-old Colombian talent Cristian Orozco. $1m transfer fee from Fortaleza in a deal valid from summer 2026. #MUFC lawyers approved all the contracts, deal coordinated by lead scout Antonaccio,” Romano wrote.

Rising Star for Club and Country

Orozco, a defensive midfielder and current captain of Colombia’s U-17 national team, has been widely praised for his intensity, ball-winning abilities, and leadership qualities.

He guided Colombia to the final of the U-17 South American Championship last year and has already featured for Fortaleza in the Colombian domestic league.
