Christian Pulisic played a key role, assisting Alexis Saelemaekers for the opening goal before scoring Milan’s second. Despite being reduced to 10 men after halftime, Milan managed to hold off Napoli’s pressure.

The turning point came when Pervis Estupinan was shown a red card following a VAR review for denying Giovanni di Lorenzo a clear goal-scoring opportunity. Napoli capitalized on the penalty awarded, with Kevin De Bruyne converting to narrow the gap to 2-1.

Even with the extra player, Napoli couldn’t find an equalizer, allowing Milan to maintain their lead. This win moves Milan above Napoli on goal difference, both sitting atop the standings with 12 points. Roma is also level on points after their 2-0 victory over Hellas Verona.
