Tiwa Savage Clears Air on Wizkid Dating Rumours

Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has debunked long-running rumours linking her romantically with fellow singer Wizkid, insisting their relationship has always been strictly professional and friendly.

In a recent interview, Savage clarified that when she previously mentioned dating a celebrity in the industry, she was not referring to Wizkid. According to her, the individual she spoke about preferred to keep the relationship secret while openly flirting with other women, which made things complicated.

“Shoutout to Wizkid, I love and respect him. The celebrity partner I said I dated wasn’t Wizkid,” she explained.

Speculation about a romance between the pair first gained traction after their steamy performance in Wizkid’s “Fever” video and other collaborations that showcased strong chemistry. However, both artists have consistently maintained that they share only friendship and artistic synergy.

Savage further noted that the past relationship she referenced was difficult to sustain due to the secrecy and the partner’s behaviour.
