Nigerian activist and social media personality, Verydarkman, has dismissed a viral picture linking him to actress Nkechi Blessing’s alleged pregnancy, describing it as fake and generated with artificial intelligence.
In a post shared on Sunday, he clarified that the widely circulated image—which showed him posing with a visibly pregnant Nkechi Blessing—was created to smear his reputation.
“I want to address this picture going around. I am not the man responsible for her pregnancy, if indeed she is pregnant. I have never met her in my life, and I have no interest in meeting her. Please disregard the picture; it is a fake, created to tarnish my image,” he said.
Verydarkman also suggested the manipulated photo was tied to deceptive slimming product promotions. He urged Nigerians to remain vigilant against misleading advertising and online harassment.
Background to the Clash
The viral post comes shortly after a heated online exchange between Verydarkman and Nkechi Blessing. Their feud began when a gym photo of the actress attracted body-shaming remarks online. Nkechi, in response, lashed out, prompting Verydarkman to recall past occasions where she had also insulted him.
Amid the drama, an AI-generated image surfaced, showing the pair in a romantic pose, with Nkechi appearing pregnant. Verydarkman immediately discredited the photo, stressing it had no basis in reality.
Closing his remarks, he added:
“In my humble opinion, what people are seeing in that picture is the effect of mixing different slimming products. Please say no to false advertising in Nigeria, and also say no to bullying.”
