Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has advised Napoli striker Victor Osimhen to act swiftly and secure a move to the English Premier League, warning that delaying such a decision could lead to long-term regret.
Sharing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), Oliseh emphasized the importance of this moment in Osimhen’s career. “Victor Osimhen is at a very delicate crossroad,” he wrote. “He needs to find his way to the Premier League in a hurry or he risks so much regret! Man. United and Arsenal need this player if only…..”
Despite Osimhen’s goal-scoring prowess and a reduced release clause, interest from top English clubs appears to have cooled. Napoli are reportedly willing to let the Nigerian striker leave for €75 million, but no concrete bids have emerged from the Premier League so far. Manchester United, once a top contender, seem to have shifted focus to Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, while Arsenal’s attention has moved elsewhere.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Turkish champions Galatasaray have stepped forward with a formal bid and reached personal terms with Osimhen. Talks are ongoing with Napoli, who are demanding that the full €75 million fee be paid upfront.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal remain interested and are willing to meet Napoli’s financial conditions, but reports suggest Osimhen prefers to remain in European football.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano noted that Manchester United were unlikely to meet Osimhen’s salary expectations and hinted that the striker had already grown comfortable in Istanbul after a previous loan spell.
Oliseh’s remarks serve as a cautionary note, urging the 26-year-old to seize the opportunity to play in England’s top flight before it slips away.
