FG Hands Over Houses to 1994 Super Eagles Heroes After 31 Years

The Federal Government has finally fulfilled its 31-year-old promise by allocating houses to members of Nigeria’s 1994 Super Eagles squad, who won the Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia.

One of the beneficiaries, Efan Ekoku, received an allocation letter for a house in Abuja, presented on his behalf by his niece, Lisa Jenifer Nwagbogun. The handover was conducted by Pemi Temitope, Director at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

This move follows the 2022 approval by former President Muhammadu Buhari to implement the long-standing pledge. Housing units are being allocated across various states.
