Reality TV personality Phyna has expressed outrage over President Bola Tinubu’s recent visit to Yelewata in Benue State, where hundreds of residents were reportedly massacred during a violent attack by armed herdsmen.

Phyna, visibly upset, took to social media to challenge the narrative that the president visited “victims” of the tragedy. According to her, there were no survivors to visit—just the memories of those who were burned and butchered in the assault.

“There were no victims in Yelewata, they were all killed and burnt alive. Who exactly was in the hospital that the president went to visit—while standing on a red carpet?” she wrote.

She accused the presidency of staging what appeared to be a photo opportunity rather than a genuine outreach effort, questioning the motive behind the visit.

“@officialABAT, why are you doing a photoshoot to make us even more furious? Nigeria has failed us,” Phyna lamented, adding multiple heartbreak emojis to emphasize her pain.

The statement quickly gained traction online, with many social media users reacting to her blunt honesty.

Reactions online included:

  • @lulusmooth: “She tagged him directly without fear.”
  • @teeh_lyfstyle: “Shout ‘Pharaoh’ in front of a mirror and it’s Tinubu who appears.”
  • @prince_portion: “Just give me 35 seconds with that man in a room, Nigeria will rise again.”
  • @neethah: “The real shock is that some people still defend this government.”

Phyna’s bold criticism echoes the growing frustration among citizens regarding the government’s handling of insecurity and the continuous bloodshed in rural communities.
