A young Nigerian woman has stunned social media users with a testimony claiming she miraculously passed her Junior WAEC exams — scoring 14 A’s and 1 C — despite being in a seven-day spiritual trance during the exam period.
The revelation was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @the_girl_IYUN, in response to a prompt asking users to recount their personal encounters with divine intervention.
According to her, the incident occurred during her JS3 final exams. She explained that a day before her last paper, she went to church and fell into a trance that lasted an entire week. During this period, she claimed to have been ministering to people who came seeking prophecies.
Her mother, concerned about her unexplained absence, went to the school to report to the principal. However, she was left in disbelief when she allegedly saw her daughter in the exam hall, writing her papers — even though, according to the family, she never physically left the church.
“JS3 Junior WAEC, I was in church a day before the last paper and I went on a 7-day trance. I was in church attending to people who came for prophecies,” she wrote.
“Mum went to school to inform my principal, but she saw me sitting in the exam hall writing the exam. She returned to the church and started looking at me strangely.”
She further claimed that when she came out of the trance, her family narrated the events to her, which she initially found hard to believe — until her WAEC results were released showing 14 distinctions and one C. The only subject she got a C in, she said, was the one she hadn’t written before the trance.
“That’s when I got the nickname ‘Ghost,’” she added.
The story quickly went viral, drawing thousands of comments — with reactions ranging from awe to playful skepticism:
While some users viewed the tale as a testimony of divine intervention, others treated it as a possible work of fiction or exaggeration meant for social media engagement.
Regardless, the story continues to spark discussions about spirituality, academic integrity, and the power of faith.
