Anas Yusuf of Nasarawa United is set to be honored with the prestigious Eunisell Boot Award after finishing as the top scorer in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season with an impressive 18 goals.

Eunisell, a leading West African specialty chemicals and oilfield solutions firm, will present Yusuf with a N3.6 million cash prize—valued at N200,000 per goal—during an award ceremony on Friday at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos. The Eunisell Boot has become one of Nigerian football’s most sought-after individual accolades since its launch in 2018.

Chika Ikenga, Group Managing Director of Eunisell, described the award as a reflection of the company’s dedication to excellence and talent development. “The Eunisell Boot represents more than a trophy; it symbolizes our unwavering support for Nigerian football and a commitment to rewarding performance. Anas Yusuf’s achievement is proof of what can be accomplished when talent meets opportunity,” he said.

Yusuf’s goal-scoring prowess throughout the season earned him widespread acclaim and made him the second player from Nasarawa United to win the award, following in the footsteps of Sunusi Ibrahim, who claimed the title in 2019.

Past winners of the Eunisell Boot include Junior Lokosa (2018), Sunusi Ibrahim and Mfon Udoh (2019), Israel Abia (2020), and Chijioke Akuneto (2022), each recognized for their striking abilities and contribution to the league.

This year’s award also marks a special occasion for Eunisell as the company celebrates ten years of consistent involvement in Nigerian football, including its sponsorship of Abia Warriors FC. Ikenga emphasized that the upcoming event goes beyond one player’s success—it’s a celebration of how sport can uplift and transform lives.

“This ceremony will highlight not just individual brilliance, but also the power of long-term investment in grassroots and professional football,” he concluded.
