Popular Nigerian skit maker and musician, Nasboi, has released a heartfelt statement following a car accident during his ambitious 36-state tour aimed at securing a music collaboration with Afrobeats star, Davido.
Nasboi, who has been travelling across Nigeria holding placards to attract Davido’s attention, revealed that he had already visited eight states before the unfortunate incident occurred. Thankfully, no lives were lost in the crash.
In a press release issued from Abuja on June 4, 2025, the content creator-turned-musician described the accident as “terrifying,” but affirmed his determination to complete the journey, stating that the mission has grown beyond a quest for a music verse.
“Yes, the accident happened and yes, it was terrifying. But I am alive, and for that, I am grateful.”
Nasboi acknowledged the public’s concerns, criticisms, and backlash, but remained resolute in his decision to press on, citing resilience and personal growth as the new motivation behind the tour.
“For me, this is now bigger than a verse from Davido,” he said.
“This journey is no longer just about music. It has become a personal mission to prove that I can weather storms, face real danger, and still keep moving forward.”
He stressed that the campaign is no longer rooted in desperation, but purpose, hoping it serves as an inspiration to others facing life’s uncertainties.
“We rise not by convenience, but by conviction.”
Nasboi’s unconventional campaign—marked by creativity, grit, and now adversity—has captured national attention and continues to spark conversations across social media.
