The Federal Government(FG) has assured members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) that the backlog of their newly approved ₦77,000 monthly allowance will be paid.

The assurance came on Monday, March 24, 2025, from the Ministe of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande,  during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

In September 2024, the Federal Government announced an increment in corps members allowance from N33,000 TO N77,000

However, several months after the announcement, the new payment structure has not been implemented, despite repeated assurances from authorities.

The delay has led to concerns and backlash from corps members, especially those who have completed or are about to complete their service year.
