Award-winning Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold is set to co-produce an exciting new documentary titled The Odyssey, which will explore the rich 100-year history of Yoruba music. In collaboration with White House Productions, the documentary will dive into the evolution of iconic Yoruba music subcultures, including genres like Were, Sakara, Apala, Juju, AfroJuju, and Fuji.

Gold, alongside a team of prominent producers like Tosin Ashafa, Papa Omotayo, and director Abba Makama, brings his deep knowledge of the industry and passion for Yoruba music to the project. The Odyssey promises an in-depth look at Yoruba music’s cultural impact, its journey, and its influence on Afrobeats today.
