Fabiyi, speaking through his Break the Silence foundation at the “Justice for Mohbad 2025” event, accused Mohbad’s younger brother, Adura, of demanding N3 million for information about the singer’s death.
Abosede immediately disputed Fabiyi’s claims, explaining that it was not Adura who sent the message, but rather a friend named Damola, who had bought Adura’s phone due to financial struggles. She expressed her frustration, questioning Fabiyi’s intentions and accusing him of trying to damage her son’s reputation.
In response, Fabiyi denied any ill intentions, saying that he only reported what was sent from Adura’s phone. He stated that he didn’t wish any harm to Mohbad or his family, just that he believed the message could help in the search for answers.
Mohbad’s tragic passing remains shrouded in controversy, with ongoing questions surrounding the cause of his death.
