Portable Thanks Skepta After Receiving Royalties for Their Hit Song ‘Tony Montana’
Street hop sensation Portable has expressed his gratitude to UK rapper Skepta after receiving his royalties for their hit collaboration Tony Montana. Released in early 2024, the single became one of Portable’s biggest hits, marking a major milestone in his career as he teamed up with British-Nigerian grime legend Skepta.
Taking to his Instagram story, Portable shared his excitement after receiving his cut of the royalties, previously hinting at the anticipation of his first payment. “God bless you @skepta. Money don enter. Big thanks @sonymusic,” Portable wrote in the post.
In another post, Portable made it clear that Skepta had not shortchanged him. “@skepta Tony Montana money don enter. No ripping zone. Big Smoke, Big Money. I really appreciate you,” he said, acknowledging the fair treatment he received from the rapper.
Skepta, in turn, responded to Portable’s appreciation by sharing a screenshot of the post on his X account, with the caption, “Greed no dey my dictionary,” showing that he is committed to fair dealings in the music industry.
