The Nigerian music star discussed his upcoming album and revealed that he has a new single in the works, featuring Nigerian R&B artist Chike and hip hop star Odumodublvck. During the interview, Davido also reflected on his recent birthday concert in Atlanta, which saw performances from various stars, including Odumodublvck, Musa Keys, Mayorkun, Darkoo, and The Composers.

Davido explained that the concert was a platform to promote African music globally and provide emerging stars with the opportunity to connect with the American Afrobeats scene. He also shared exciting news about his upcoming album, which is set to drop in early 2025. Ahead of the album, he will be releasing a new single titled Funds, a collaboration with Chike and Odumodublvck. According to Davido, the song will be a return to his Nigerian roots, with a focus on creating music that is distinctly Nigerian.

In the interview, Davido also discussed his collaboration with Chris Brown on their Grammy-nominated single Sensational. He revealed that he had been working on two songs with the American singer, but Sensational stood out, with Chris Brown particularly invested in the track. The song, which features both Davido and Lojay, gave both artists their first entries on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned Lojay his first Grammy nomination.
