The ongoing feud between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington has taken a dramatic turn, with new revelations from Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju. According to a recent post by Adeyanju on X (formerly Twitter), Burna Boy is allegedly behind the latest arrest of Speed Darlington.

Speed Darlington was arrested on the morning of November 27, 2024, and though Adeyanju initially didn’t provide details about the cause, he later claimed that Burna Boy ordered the arrest. In his post, Adeyanju criticized Burna Boy, accusing him of hypocrisy for allegedly oppressing Speed Darlington while portraying himself as an advocate against oppression. He wrote, “Burna Boy behind harassment of Speed Darlington by the police. This is someone who has been singing against oppression and forming junior Fela now oppressing Akpi.”

After his release, Speed Darlington shared a defiant video where he emphasized that he wasn’t humbled by the arrest, despite being detained multiple times. “What doesn’t kill me can only make me stronger,” he declared, adding that he had been arrested 17 times in the U.S. before this incident, making it his 18th arrest.
