Billie Eilish has been named Apple Music’s Artist of the Year, an honor that recognizes her outstanding impact on the music scene throughout 2024. This marks a historic achievement for Eilish, as she becomes the first artist to win this award twice, having previously received it in 2019. The recognition follows a remarkable year for the singer-songwriter, which included her second Academy Award win, two additional GRAMMY Awards for her contribution to the soundtrack of Barbie (“What Was I Made For?”), and the release of her third album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT.

The album, which debuted at No. 1 on Apple Music’s all-genre charts in 138 countries, has been hailed as a significant artistic evolution, showcasing both vulnerability and boldness. Eilish’s global presence has also been strong, from her performance at the closing ceremony of the summer games in Los Angeles to a successful collaboration with Charli XCX on “Guess.” She is currently on her sold-out HIT ME HARD AND SOFT tour, further solidifying her dominance in the pop music world.

In addition to her chart success, Billie earned seven nominations for the 67th Grammy Awards, including prestigious categories such as Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Apple Music’s senior director of content, Rachel Newman, praised Eilish’s growth, noting how her voice and artistry continue to resonate with listeners while she remains true to herself. In response, Billie expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from Apple Music and her fans, celebrating this recognition as a significant milestone in her career.

Fans can now experience her full catalog in Spatial Audio, a special tribute to her musical achievements.
